If you've read my book How To Find Your Ideal Employee, there's a phrase in there that comes up again and again.
And it is pretty simple and it says, the way we do anything is the way we do everything.
Now if you're challenged by that and you've got some emotions coming up for you at the moment, excellent! Emotions are pointer for you that there's something there that you need to resolve.
But have a think about it, in everything that you're doing in your life you might say, well Brad, I'm really good in this particular area. But are you doing it in every area of your life? Are you playing at a hundred percent?
And that's the key. Do you get to the end of your day and can sit down and look back on your day and go, Wow! I had a real crack at that today. Because you will only ever get back what you put out. Sometimes it may not come back in the same place you put it out.
When I'm working with clients quite often what we'll see is there shaking a tree here and might be in terms of sales or trying to find a new appointment for their business and new employee and the fruit might be falling out over there somewhere.
So the main thing is they're doing it at a hundred percent. So whatever you're doing in life and I scratch my head at this sometimes and think why wouldn’t you do everything at a hundred percent?
Life is finite.
The only thing we're getting out of here is I think Lennon said is that John Lennon we are all going to die, which is pretty morbid, I know.
But have a think about how hard you're playing the game.
Are you going at a hundred percent?
Because if you're doing it a hundred percent one area, then there's a good chance you're doing it a hundred percent in every area.
If you need to stop doing things in certain areas, you can focus on the other areas. You should do it.
So something to think about a hundred percent participation.
You go for it or not.
Middle-of-the-road stuff like, Dr. Miyagi. Mr. Miyagi said in Karate Kid sit in middle of Road get squashed like great.
Anyway. Have a great day!
